GCRR Press will also post a Call for Reviewers announcement for all academic publications to acquire a professional review of the book, which would then be published in SHERM Journal and potentially elsewhere. -
Indeed, publishers can take advantage of our Expanded Advertising package, which involves circulating information about your book to 7,000 top U.S. booksellers and librarians, as well as to over 27,000 international and domestic customers.

Why Not Just Self-Publish My Research?
The unfortunate reality is that, as an academic and an up and coming scholar, you're likely not to receive any attention or credibility if you self-publish. It really is just the nature of the industry.
Self-published books are still considered a joke in academia, and the authors who resort to self-publishing are usually seen as discredited or inferior because they (apparently) weren't accepted by a real academic publishing house. The mentality is that if anyone can simply upload a book to the internet, then how do I know the information in the book (or even the author him/herself) is credible?
When you publish through an actual academic publisher like GCRR Press, you're having it professionally copyedited, typeset, and peer-reviewed by other scholars in your field of study.
Will It Cost Me Anything?
Not necessarily. For many of our books, GCRR Press can obtain full funding to help publish your entire manuscript. However, the sad reality is that all academic publishing houses charge their authors money to publish with them. They simply offer less royalties to make up for the costs. Only in rare cases, usually when you're a member of the elite inner circle of academics, will they pay you.
As such, it costs money to be taken seriously as a researcher and as an academic.
The major difference between publishing with GCRR Press and somewhere else is that we loathe how exploitative the academic publishing industry is, so we're working hard to change it. That's why we publish high quality research at a substantially lower cost and significantly higher royalties than most anyone else. Keep in mind that the fees listed below include the cost of peer-review and that not all authors will be asked to pay any money at all.
